Competition Update

This week we have an update from the Acro World Tour in Brienz, Switzerland where for the first time Rise had 3 team members competing. We’re really proud of the fact that our instructors are also competitors, constantly training to be the best they can be and sometimes the best in the world. This of course keeps them on top of the game and able to provide the best training for you our family members.

Below you’ll find videos of the third runs from Théo, Cesar and Blaise and comments about this competition and competing in general.

Théo

It was so fun to share the competition in Brienz with Blaise and Cesar. Blaise is really getting out of his comfort zone coming to acro competition and trying to do runs with us, this is truly inspiring. It was also so much fun to cheer for him honestly we had some great time!
Personally this competition went great, I made a mistake stopping a bit low and not being able to do a proper landing at the beginning but managed to recover from that on the following runs and my last run was really cool, it was an important moment to put on a good run and I did. I am now leading the tour and I am enjoying having a few point in front of Luke but it’s only mid season so far and there is a long way to go to grab that title.

Cesar

Well, competition been always a interesting part of the year, a lot of emotions and effort, this year particularly I’m a bit behind mainly because I’m limited with my equipment, but I’m trying to find other ways to fly better and be part of the top 5.
Besides that, the all experience competing with my colleagues is great, we support each other every time you come for landing you know there will be the Rise family screaming for you and giving the best vibes always.
Was amazing to see Theo winning and Blaise being the most consistent competitor with 100 % raft landings 🔥.

Unfortunately no sound on Caesar

Blaise

Why am I competing?
The honest answer is to have fun, the Acro community is a special place in Paragliding . It really doesn’t matter what tricks you are doing all the competitors are cheering you on to be better and to achieve your goals.
Watching Théo winning the competition after coming from behind was the highlight for me. Cesar bringing the vibe and raising up everyone around him, it’s really special.
Everyone is there because they love Paragliding , the volunteers who make the competition happen, the judges all do it to see a bright future for Acro Paragliding . Special mention should go to the photographers who come and take such amazing pictures to share with the pilots, it was amazing to see so many Rise students coming to cheer us
